PARTNERSHIP OF SPIA MOROCCO AND APM TERMINALS AROUND OPERATIONAL SAFETY STANDARDS
SPIA MOROCCO, the expert in the maintenance of port and industrial equipment, has set up a partnership with APM Terminals Tangier which is one of the main terminal operators in Morocco, with direct services to 170 ports in 67 countries across the world, and a minimum deviation from the main seaway.
This partnership gives rise to a maintenance contract for 58 GAUSSIN brand ATT tractors, 48 POWERPACKs and 13 KONECRANES high capacity trucks. But beyond the core business of SPIA MOROCCO, the two entities work together on a very important point for them which is the life and safety of their technicians with respect to all of their customers.
Indeed, APM Terminals has Global Safety Operational Standards (GOSS) for managing efficient and safe operations, and places great importance on the safety of ports and goods.
MOROCCO has therefore followed the fundamental principles of APM and has launched a training program for its teams in order to integrate better in this perspective.
As a result, today, in addition to protecting our workforce, effective management of security risks supports our reputation, improves financial returns, builds stakeholder confidence and increase our competitive advantage. These standards help all managers meet our protection expectations. They are part of a comprehensive safety management framework for our facilities to align their local security processes.
Through this partnership, we can now work actively with national and international law enforcement agencies and make every effort to reduce risk and deal with threats which weigh on the national supply chain.
